Season: Daily tickets are issued for salmon and sea-trout from 1st February until 31st March and from 1st October until 30th November by fly only. However, limited spinning is acceptable but only between 15th February and 31st March. A combined salmon, sea-trout and brown trout permit is issued from 1st April until 30th September on a seasonal, weekly or daily basis. Permission to fish is given subject to the Rules of the Association and the terms of the Tweed Angling Code.

Costs: A daily permit is issued to fish for salmon and sea-trout at a cost of £20.00 per day. There are five beats available limited to two anglers per beat.

1. Anglers must comply with the terms of the Tweed Angling Code, together with the following conditions.
2. Fishing is permitted from 9.00 a.m. until dusk only on the date for which the permit was granted. The permit holder is limited to taking two migratory fish only, all other fish (brown trout, kelts) must be carefully returned to the water.
3. Fishing for Salmon and sea trout is with fly only, although spinning is allowed from 15th February to 31st March. Bait fishing is not permitted. Number and weight of all salmon caught must be reported to the Association. Nil returns are required and all should be sent in the envelope provided. Failure to submit a return will penalise the holder from obtaining a permit in future.
4. Permits must be exhibited on demand to those acting for the Association, or the Tweed Bailiffs or to the Police.
5. All holders of permits must observe the following: a) Do not start fishing in front of another angler.
b) Keep moving down the pool when others are waiting to fish behind you.
c) If you wish to fish the pool again, having fished down, come out of the water and take your turn at the head.
d) Shut gates, park sensibly, respect fences and property being passed over. No lighting fires.
All tagged fish must be carefully returned to the water and recorded on the special slip provided.
